GUCCI

With a plethora of Europe’s most powerful fashion houses moving into latest prime estate The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands like territorial clownfish, it looks like yet another up market shopping haven which mirrors plenty others in our urban city. I note stronger reflection intensity in the marble flooring and sky-high ceilings as the only difference.
But this is all good, because that means fashion houses are doing more to jazz up their store concepts and this gives the customer a veritably tasty visual treat. The Gucci store at The Shoppes had that jaunty effect on me as I eyed what looked like designer wonderland from afar.
Gucci's Latest Retail Boutique
Riding on Creative Director Frida Giannini’s innovative design concept, which employs open space, warm luxurious materials and natural light, the store emanates fresh ornate luxury. Signature Gucci materials of rosewood and marble are augmented with the introduction of burnished gold and smoked mirrors, inspired by the opulence of the Art Deco period.
The new store covers 5,500 square feet and is the third directly-owned Gucci Store in Singapore, focusing primarily on men’s and women’s accessories. If you ask me, a pair of spanking new Gucci loafers is a more worthy investment than blowing it all in the neighbouring casino.
The Marina Bay Sands store is only one of over 30 Gucci stores in the world to reflect Giannini’s design brainchild, following successful roll-outs in other cities including New York, Rome, Munich, Hong Kong, London, Shanghai, Melbourne, Macau and most recently in Singapore at Paragon.
